Playing golf with a spouse, partner or friend is a lot of fun but being paired with random people at the golf course can be intimidating or uncomfortable.

There aren't many mixed leagues that allow you to get to know others who enjoy golfing in a relaxed, fun environment.

The Scottsdale Duos Golf League allows members to join as partners. They could be spouses, significant others, partners, friends, or even individuals who invites a different friend each time.

We offer monthly events at various courses around the Scottsdale/Phoenix area.

ABOUT ERIK & JULIE SCHJOLBERG
Erik Schjolberg, the Golf Professional organizing this Duos league, along with his wife, Julie Schjolberg, saw a desire for couples to find other couples to play golf with in a relaxed environment.

They first started the Scottsdale Golf League for Women to support players of all levels and abilities to feel comfortable learning the game and getting out on the course. Now they expanded to organize events for couples, partners and even individuals who want to bring various friends and have expand their network of golfing friends.
Erik offers discounted lessons to member of the league to help them become as good as they they want to be. Beyond his PGA designation, Erik is certified in a variety of programs that are based on understanding human anatomy, individual physical limitations and how to maximize performance and power in the golf swing. Some of the certifications coach Erik has completed include: PGA HOPE, TPI LEVEL 1 & 2 (Titleist Performance Institute), Boditrak, Dr. Kwon's Biomechanics Level 1 & 2, Scott Cowx Certified, Trackman Certified Level 1 & 2, ADM Certified w/ PGA and among others Titleist Certified club fitter.

WHO IS THIS LEAGUE FOR?
This league is designed for couples, partners, and friends who want to play golf together and expand their network of others who play golf. It has been created to be friendly for players of all levels and abilities. We know it can be intimidating to play golf. We want to give everyone the opportunity to have a good experience, feel comfortable and included, and to find friends among other golfers.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO JOIN?
The annual membership is $349 which includes a partner lesson with Golf Professional, Erik Schjolberg, or $99 for the membership ONLY. The partner lesson is an hour-long lesson when both partners take a lesson simultaneously. The price for each event will vary depending on the course.
HOW DO I REGISTER FOR THE LEAGUE?
First, you’ll create an account and then register for the league membership. To register, Step 1 - create into your account, Step 2 - Click on "Buy Product" in the upper left corner, Step 3 - Click on "Memberships", Step 4 - Click on the "Scottsdale Duos Golf League" membership you want, Step 5 - Enter your payment information, Step 6 - Click "Confirm & Pay". Click here to register.

WHERE DOES THE LEAGUE PLAY?
The league plays at various courses in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area. The courses will be announced for each event as the details are finalized. Information, including instructions to the course will be included in an email sent at least 24 hours before each event.

WHAT DAYS DOES THE LEAGUE PLAY?
We are starting with events on Saturday afternoons. The dates planned so far are listed here and are subject to change based on course availability.

HOW DO I SIGN UP FOR A PLAY DAY?
Members can follow these instructions to register. Step 1 - Sign into your account; Step 2 - Click "Book Clinic" in the upper left corner; Step 3 - Click "Scottsdale Duos Golf League"; Step 4 - Select the day you want to sign up for; Step 5 - Add your partner to the registration; Step 6 - Enter your payment information; Step 7 - Click "Confirm & Pay" The deadline to sign up is three days before the event. There are no refunds given past the deadline.

CAN I RENT CLUBS?
Yes. We can coordinate rental clubs with each golf course. The price will vary depending on the course. If you need rental clubs, please email julie@ejsgolf.com at least five days prior to an event so we can request pricing and let you know the cost.

WHAT IS THE PLAYING FORMAT FOR THE LEAGUE?
We anticipate playing a scramble format for at least the first few events as we get to know members and playing ability.
HOW DO I SCHEDULE MY LESSON INCLUDED WITH MY MEMBERSHIP?
If you signed up for the membership with a free lesson with Erik Schjolberg, it was automatically credited to your account when you paid for the membership. To schedule your lesson, follow these steps: Step 1 - Sign into your account; Step 2 - Click "Book Lesson" in the upper left corner; Step 3 - Select the free lesson from the payment method drop down; Step 4 - select the date and time that work best for you from the calendar; Step 5 - Click "Book". Once your lesson is scheduled, be sure to fill out the new student form that will help Erik know ahead of time what experience you have with golf so he can be prepared and you will get the most out of the lesson that you can.

CAN I INVITE FRIENDS TO PLAY?
If you have friends that want to try the league out before paying the full annual membership or are visiting from out of town, there is a drop in option. Pricing will vary based on the event.
